36 Week Update

It is getting closer - by this time with Alex, I was already off work, but they don't seem so concerned now! Thank goodness for the holiday break, hopefully I will only be back at work one more week after the new year! Alex slept in his new room last night and we almost have everything ready for the new nursery. I think we are almost ready! My progress at this appointment 2cm and 50% effaced, all other things, weight, BP - normail - next appointment is Friday, January 2nd!

35 Week Update

Nothing to report really - just getting anxious for the new little guy to arrive. My next appointment is the 17th and I will start going weekly from there. It won't be much longer now. Alex's new furniture is due to arrive this week - so hopefully he will be able to get into his new room before Christmas!!! Update: Went to the doctor on the 17th and there was a little progress about the same as this time with Alex - but they weren't as concerned about pre-term labor since it didn't happen last time. I am looking forward to the next couple weeks - I am taking it easy and enjoying the holidays! Next appointment: December 24th

Third Trimester Update

Last week was the beginning of the end - the third trimester. Just 12 more weeks to go (hopefully less)!!! I finally went to the lab to get my blood drawn for my gestational diabetes test this week. I am very happy to say that I passed this time and will not have to sit through the 3 hour test like I did with Alex :)

26 Weeks - 3 Months to Go!!!

I had my routine appointment today - everything was normal. Go back again in 5 weeks - I will be 31 weeks and that is when the appointments will start coming every 2 weeks! It is getting closer!

I finally ordered the new crib furniture, it will be for Alex's new room, but thought you guys might want to see it. Baby #2 will take the current nursery! We purchased the 6-drawer dresser and the convertible crib, in the rubbed black finished. There is a 12 week wait time, so that puts us around 37/38 weeks - hopefully Alex likes his pack n' play - he may be sleeping there for a few days :)

20 Weeks Today!

I am 20 weeks today - I can't believe that I am at the half-way point! Time has flown by this time around! Alex is definitely keeping my mind off things :) We have another ultrasound in the morning - so I will be able to post more pictures soon!

17w2d Ultrasound Pictures

We are Having a BOY!!!

We had our unofficial ultrasound at Becoming Moms Spa and the ultrasound tech said it was 100% boy - we saw it right away! I will be posting pictures soon! We are thrilled that Alex is going to have a little brother!

17 Week Appointment

I had a Dr. appointment today and everything is still looking good - he said I was growing well after prodding around on my stomach - which I can also tell by the scale :) He scheduled the 20 week ultrasound - so that is our next big event to look forward to - September 3rd.

First Concert

Baby Bajorek attended his/her first concert last night - I am sure that he/she heard it loud and clear - I think the baby likes O.A.R. Danielle, Lyndsey, Elaine and I had a great time!

Baby Kicks

Today I felt the baby move! It is early - but I remember what it felt like! Yay - can't wait for the big kicks!

Ultrasound Pictures

We had the first trimester screen test today - everything looked fine! Little guy was moving all around and waving its hands like crazy! It measured exactly ontime, 12w6d - this baby is definitely not as photogentic as Alex was, but again - if you have seen these before, I think that you will be able to make out the limbs! I have my regular doctor's appointment tomorrow where we will hear the heartbeat for the first time!

Boy or Girl?

Thanks to Holly - I went to Becoming Moms spa today and participated in an early gender prediction study. The test claims to be 90% accurate after 10 weeks, but they study is to test how accurate it is between 4 and 8 weeks, so we shall see. Oh, the outcome of the test was BOY! We have an ultrasound scheduled there August 12th to determine if the early prediction was correct! Stay tuned!

First Appointment

We had the first appointment today for the new baby. I was very nervous to be back there, but I felt right at home when we had to wait for an hour before they even got us in the room. I was super-excited when they took us directly to the ultrasound room because I knew they would probably be checking things out. Sure enough we were able to have a quick scan, as she called it. At first it was just a big black hole, but she quickly pointed out that my uterus was not laying in a good position for the ultrasound. Finally we got to see the little worm - it measured around 7w6d (which technically I was 8w1d), so in the ball park. We saw the heartbeat just a fluttering away! These pictures aren't the best - but maybe if you have seen these before - you can tell what it is!

Morning Sickness?

I woke up today feeling so sick! Nausea, dizziness, headache... This is all new to me, as I had no morning sickness with Alex. In addition, I am so tired all the time! I attribute that to chasing around the little demon though. I was reading an article on morning sickness and it said that studies have shown that morning sickness has a higher instance in pregnant women carrying girls or multiples! Okay - i can handle a girl - but multiples?!? This just helps support our theory that it is in fact a girl!

Testing

I have been feeling tired and hungry - which isn't really that abnormal for me, but something just didn't feel right. So I decided to test, I was shocked to see a "pregnant" show up in the window.

Our first doctor's appointment is June 11th with Dr. Hansen!
